Happy Tax Day!

Spring has sprung and allergy season is in full effect. Tax day is upon us. Now, if only I could find another deduction. I know there's one hiding somewhere. Maybe he'll show up tomorrow.

According the the ever reliable interwebs, philosopher Nietzsche said, "A sure way to irritate people and to put evil thoughts into their heads is to keep them waiting a long time. This makes them immoral."

Saint Augustine opines that "[p]atience is the companion of wisdom."

RSS what?

For those of you unfamiliar, RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a good way to keep up with your favorite blogs without checking each one individually to see what's new. Basically, you 'subscribe' to an RSS 'feed'. When there is new stuff, it shows up in your 'RSS Reader.'

My RSS reader of choice is Google Reader. It is free and easy to use. Whenever I'm curious about what's new on my favorite blogs I just check out Google Reader.

In any event, Blogger has a new tool that they are developing that makes it easier for readers to subscribe to RSS feeds for blogs like this one. I've added the tool to the sidebar. Look for it under "SUBSCRIBE TO". You can subscribe to posts or to comments.

If you've never tried RSS, now you have an excuse.

Two things I enjoy: anime and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. I found this mix of the two. While I can't say I'm familiar with the anime, the dialogue is what I wanted. Enjoy.

Eggplant

Charles has just learned from CNN that eggplant can help to bring on labor.

I'm ready to go. Ready, I say.

But.

I hate eggplant. If that's what it takes I say: NO.

No Jump Tonight

Those familiar with Band of Brothers may recognize this one.

Meehan: The channel coast is socked in with rain and fog. High winds in the drop zone. No jump tonight. The invasion has been postponed. We're on a 24-hour stand-down.
Guarnere: Son of a bitch . . . .

ESTRAGON:
Charming spot. (He turns, advances to front, halts facing auditorium.) Inspiring prospects. (He turns to Vladimir.) Let's go.
VLADIMIR:
We can't.
ESTRAGON:
Why not?
VLADIMIR:
We're waiting for Godot.
ESTRAGON:
(despairingly). Ah! (Pause.) You're sure it was here?
VLADIMIR:
What?
ESTRAGON:
That we were to wait.
