Brrr!

From 65 degrees and partly sunny to 40 degrees and a cold rain. Time for socks and slippers, cocoa with marshmallows, and chili for dinner.

Don't forget warm fires and stories of old "when I was your age, I walked barefoot in the snow both ways." This has become a favorite time of year because of the nesting aspect. It is the "cuddle up and stay warm by those you love" time of year; its almost the "stew is on the stove so take off your snow boots" time of year. It is the time of year when you give thanks for the garden you have been giving and the friends with whom you have shared your bounty (even if Fedex broke the bountiful gift). It is fleece and feather bed season. I am ready for it.
