New Yawk, Part Two

Oh, look. Skating in the park. Every single one of those people are real New Yorkers, right?

Central Park Promenade

Lawrence was taking photographs of Central Park to use in his lectures. Part of the point is to show students that the Park isn't "wilderness," but rather an engineered landscape. That's easy to see here, unless you're inclined to believe that these trees helpfully arranged themselves in tidy rows.

Bethesda Fountain Plaza

Approaching one of the Park's most famous statues.

Said statue, and Dr. Professor Urban West Leisure/Tourism himself.

And yours truly, huddling in my coat for warmth. Sure, I could have worn gloves. But that would have been too easy. The colder you are, the more you appreciate hot coffee and cheesecake later.
