American wild-caught shrimp. Boiled with peppercorns and a bay leaf, then chilled. A California avocado, chunked (yes, that's a verb). Balsamic vinaigrette.
So can I come over for dinner? Because I just had to wipe the dripping saliva off my keyboard, thanks to your photos.
I hope the daycare search goes better! Maybe the donuts have pureed veggies in them, thus they qualify as "healthy"? But at least it is a diverse group of kids eating those donuts!!
Well, I'm glad we're not the only ones who can't make everything grow in our garden. Our dear little cucumber plants are not doing so well. Miss Irene thinks perhaps they are getting too much water. We have had tons of rain and perhaps they drowned. My daughter is quite concerned about them and daily gives me updates on their rather forlorn condition.
I forgot one more thing regarding my blog post: I'm sure I'm looking at it through rose-colored glasses. My hunch is that there is more than one daughter in law who wishes she didn't live with her husband's mother! (Although there are married couples who are lving on their own without any other family members; just not any of the families that live by us.)
