Look at all those toys. Iain can choose from the globe, that wire/ball thing Daddy got him, and books galore. In fact, if you look closely you'll see he likes to layer the pages of his books. This is a sort of baby intertextuality, which allows you to read about Piggie and Dogs all at once.
