Nothing Like A Seersucker Suit

Last weekend we enjoyed a visit from a California (by way of Melbourne) friend. He came, he read Iain books, he drank the Oban with Mommy, all was well.

But, best of all, he wore a seersucker suit. Originally, the plan was to wear the suit to the Oaks, where it would have been Outstanding. But illness and timing intervened and instead the suit made its appearance for dinner at Murray's and drinks/snacks at Callie's house. Check it out, in all its stripey glory:

He wears it well, doesn't he?

Of course, the suit was not the only focus of attention. When Callie's staff mentioned that they saw the herding trials on Saturday, David whipped out his iPhone and showed them video of dogs herding sheep dressed in LEDs to the tune of various musical numbers including the 1812 Overture. I'll understand if you need a minute to process that sentence.

As you can see, the staff and Aunt Suzy were fascinated. Riveted. Unable to stop laughing and exclaiming. It was fun stuff.

Who was covered in LEDs? The dogs or the sheep?
