Even though the lemon verbena (above) is growing like mad and denying reality, we know it's really fall in Kentucky. The daytime temps are in the low 60's (and dropping!), while night brings more like 40-50.
That makes for dewey, chilly mornings. But nothing can deter Iain from a little walk outside in his pajamas and socks. So he ventured out to visit the fish, stepping delicately through moist moss and fallen leaves. Once back inside, I had to remove the socks - wet socks are not good. But he had fun and I loved seeing the garden shaking off the last bit of summer and welcoming cooler weather, rain, and all kinds of changes.
